Christmas Con

I have to admit I'm not really into anime/ manga. It just doesn't make sense to me! All the guys look like girls and I have trouble following the flow of the story. However, I love the anime/manga subculture. It's so fun to be around people who talk about these characters as though they're real, use Japanese words and actually know the meaning, eat Pocky regularly, spend hours creating costumes to cosplay their favorite characters, and can explain all the problem areas of the movie Avatar: the Last Airbender (which I thought was a really good movie- again, not an anime fan- haven't seen the anime).  So...this Friday (December 3) we're having our first ever Christmas Con. We're planning food (Pocky included), anime/ manga trade/sell, anime viewing, anime games on Wii, J-pop music, cosplay, etc.  If you're coming...bring your anime, anime games for Wii with controllers, ear buds, and costumes.
Note: cosplay rules are simple- show up in costume (with props if desired), tell us who you are, you'll have 1 minute to 'cosplay' your character (you can do this individually or as a group), we'll vote and have fun!
