This is a place for You to express your ideas about books, movies, music, magazines, games, writing- if it's found in the library, it's fair game. Also, let me know your ideas for the library here in Lagrange or any of the branches.

Online Writing Sites
There's a new online writing site called Figment. I've spent a little time cruising around on it, trying to get a feel for the types of writing and who may be using it. It seems to be, at least right now, a pretty sophisticated group of writers. Many seem to be older- adults, not just teens. The writing is solid and polished, unlike most other similar sites. Much of what's already posted is in publishable or close-to-publishable form. There doesn't seem to be any fan fiction, and the membership agreement requires that all work be original. Remember, these site dynamics can change as more people begin posting on the site. So, if you're ready to take your writing beyond its current level, you may want to check out Figment. Just as note, as I've posted before, anything you put into public space- though the site may claim to be safe- can be stolen. So be careful!
